September 1, 2022: Lynchburg, VA 24501 The Glass Hilltoppers football squad scored 25 points and held the visiting Gretna Hawks to 0 in the Hilltoppers non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Hilltoppers (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against George Washington (Danville, VA). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, George Washington achieved victory over Amherst County (Amherst, VA), 22-12, in a non-league challenge.
The Hawks now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they host Magna Vista for a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 8. Gretna will meet a Warriors team coming off a 50-24 non-league win over Dan River (Ringgold, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 1-2.
