With the win, South Gibson betters its record to 6-5 on the year. The Hornets travel to Dyer County (Newbern, TN) to face the Choctaws in a AA District 14 outing on Tuesday, September 6. The Choctaws go into the outing with a record of 17-2. Dyer County won 3-0 in their recent league outing against Crockett County (Alamo, TN)
The Pioneers now sport a 4-6 record. They play next when they host Peabody for a A District 13 outing on Tuesday, September 6. Gibson County will face a Golden Tide squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Union City (Union City, TN). The Golden Tide record now stands at 6-3.
