The Valley Vikings (New Kensington, PA) football defeated the visiting Apollo Ridge Vikings (Spring Church, PA), 18-7 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Vikings face the Burrell Bucs (Lower Burrell, PA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 8. Valley will attempt to advance on its 1-1 season record. The Bucs enter the bout with a 0-2 record after their 33-0 non-league loss to Deer Lakes (Russellton, PA).
