The Highlands Golden Rams thwarted the host Blackhawk Cougars football team by a count of 33-20 in Friday's non-league outing.

With the win, Highlands upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Golden Rams host Chartiers Valley (Bridgeville, PA) to encounter the Colts in a non-league outing on Friday, September 8. The Colts go into the outing with a record of 0-2. Chartiers Valley lost 38-0 in their recent non-league outing against Trinity (Washington, PA)

With the loss, Blackhawk moves to 0-2 on the season. The Cougars travel to Mars (Mars, PA) to encounter the Fightin' Planets in a non-league outing on Friday, September 8. The Fightin' Planets go into the outing with a record of 1-1. Mars won 42-6 in their recent non-league outing against New Castle (New Castle, PA)
