The Summerfield Bulldogs (Petersburg, MI) football edged the visiting Bronson Vikings (Bronson, MI), 9-8 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Bulldogs face the Springport Spartans (Springport, MI) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 8. Summerfield will attempt to advance on its 2-0 season record. The Spartans enter the bout with a 0-2 record after their 41-0 league loss to Union City (Union City, MI).
