The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Derby Red Raiders (Derby, CT) and the visiting Hopkins Hilltoppers (New Haven, CT), witnessed Derby's football squad notch a victory over Hopkins by a margin of 34-6.

In their next game, the Red Raiders clash with the St. Paul Catholic Falcons (Bristol, CT) in a Naugatuck Valley - Brass bout, on Friday, September 8. Derby will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record.

The Hilltoppers (0-1) will now prepare for their bout against Horace Mann (Riverdale, NY). The Lions enter the non-league bout with a 0-0 record.
