The East Grand Rapids Pioneers football squad scored 23 points and restricted the host South Christian Sailors to 21 in the Pioneers non-league victory on Friday.

The Pioneers now possess a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lowell for a Ottawa-Kent - White battle on Friday, September 8. East Grand Rapids will face a Red Arrows squad coming off a 34-13 non-league win over Thornapple Kellogg (Middleville, MI). The Red Arrows record now stands at 2-0.
