September 1, 2023: Bedford, VA 24523 In Friday's non-league game, the Glenvar Highlanders (Salem, VA) football team smashed the host Liberty Minutemen (Bedford, VA), by a score of 63-0.
The Highlanders (2-0) will now prepare for their game against Cave Spring (Roanoke, VA). The Knights come into the non-league game with a 1-1 record. In their last game, Cave Spring was ripped by Northside (Roanoke, VA), 30-27, in a non-league game.
The Minutemen now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Staunton River for a non-league game on Friday, September 8. Liberty will meet a Golden Eagles team coming off a 27-15 non-league loss to Jefferson Forest (Forest, VA). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 0-2.
