The Jefferson Cavaliers (Sioux Falls, SD) football edged the visiting Washington Warriors (Sioux Falls, SD), 24-17 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Cavaliers face the Lincoln Patriots (Sioux Falls, SD) in a Eastern South Dakota - AAA bout, on Saturday, September 9. Jefferson will attempt to advance on its 2-0 season record. The Patriots enter the bout with a 2-0 record after their 59-0 league win over Rapid City Central (Rapid City, SD).

The Warriors (1-1) will now prepare for their bout against Roosevelt (Sioux Falls, SD). The Rough Riders enter the Eastern South Dakota - AAA bout with a 0-2 record. In their last bout, Roosevelt was nudged by O'Gorman (Sioux Falls, SD), 77-20, in a league bout.
