Missouri High School Softball - St. Elizabeth nudges Jefferson City
September 1, 2023: St. Elizabeth, MO 65075 St. Elizabeth Hornets (St. Elizabeth, MO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Jefferson City Jays (Jefferson City, MO), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Hornets now own a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Jamestown for a Class 1 District 5 challenge on Tuesday, September 5. St. Elizabeth will battle a squad coming off a 12-1 non-league win over Crocker (Crocker, MO). The record now stands at 2-0.
With the loss, Jefferson City falls to 4-1 on the campaign. The Jays host Fatima (Westphalia, MO) to battle the Comets in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 5. The Comets enter the challenge with a record of 4-2. Fatima won 9-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Capital City (Jefferson City, MO)
