The University Charter Trail Blazers held off the host Sipsey Valley Bears volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Trail Blazers now have a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northridge for a non-league test on Saturday, September 10. University Charter will confront a Jaguars team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Tuscaloosa County (Northport, AL). The Jaguars record now stands at 10-4.

The Bears (5-5) will now prepare for their test against Holy Spirit Catholic (Tuscaloosa, AL). The Saints enter the non-league test with a 4-5 record. In their last test, Holy Spirit Catholic held off Paul W. Bryant (Cottondale, AL), 2-1, in a non-league test.
