With the win, Mountain Heritage advances its record to 5-2 on the season. The Cougars host Mitchell (Bakersville, NC) to face the Mountaineers in a non-league test on Thursday, September 12. The Mountaineers go into the test with a record of 3-6. Mitchell lost 2-0 in their recent league test against Draughn (Valdese, NC)
The Vikings now sport a 1-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Madison for a non-league test on Thursday, September 12. Avery County will face a Patriots squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Draughn (Valdese, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 2-4.
