September 10, 2025: Phoenix, AZ 85048 Desert Vista Thunder (Phoenix, AZ) fans went home in high spirits Wednesday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Valley Vista Monsoon (Surprise, AZ), 48-6 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Desert Vista improves its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Thunder travel to Mountain Ridge (Glendale, AZ) to meet the Mountain Lions in a non-league test on Tuesday, September 16. The Mountain Lions come into the test with a record of 0-2. Mountain Ridge lost 13-0 in their recent non-league test against Mountain Pointe (Phoenix, AZ)
With the defeat, Valley Vista moves to 0-1 on the season. The Monsoon host Shadow Ridge (Surprise, AZ) to face the Stallions in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, September 17. The Stallions go into the challenge with a record of 1-1. Shadow Ridge won 47-12 in their recent non-league challenge against Westwood (Mesa, AZ)
