Liberty Lions (Peoria, AZ) fans went home in high spirits Wednesday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Highland Hawks (Gilbert, AZ), 47-6 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Liberty improves its record to 2-0 on the season. The Lions travel to Brophy College Prep (Phoenix, AZ) to play the Broncos in a non-league battle on Tuesday, September 16. The Broncos go into the battle with a record of 2-0. Brophy College Prep won 41-0 in their recent non-league match against Perry (Gilbert, AZ)

Coming up next, the Hawks meet the Casteel Colts (Queen Creek, AZ) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, October 8. Highland will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
