New York High School Football - South Jefferson loses to Carthage
September 10, 2025: Carthage, NY 13619 Carthage Comets (Carthage, NY) followers went home pleased Wednesday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting South Jefferson Spartans (Adams, NY), 69-40 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Carthage advances its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Comets travel to East Syracuse-Minoa (East Syracuse, NY) to confront the Spartans in a non-league match on Thursday, September 18. The Spartans come into the match with a record of 0-1. East Syracuse-Minoa lost 36-20 in their recent non-league match against Central Square (Central Square, NY)
Coming up next, the Spartans confront the Canastota Red Raiders (Canastota, NY) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, September 16. South Jefferson will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record.
