Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Desert Edge Scorpions (Goodyear, AZ) and the host Fairfax Stampede (Laveen, AZ), observed Desert Edge's volleyball team top Fairfax by a count of 3-0.

The Scorpions (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against North Canyon (Phoenix, AZ). The Rattlers enter the 5A - Desert West contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, North Canyon achieved victory over Central (Phoenix, AZ), 3-2, in a non-league battle.
