With the win, Newport moves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Cubs host North Bend (North Bend, OR) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league contest on Wednesday, September 13. The Bulldogs enter the contest with a record of 2-1. North Bend lost 1-0 in their recent non-league contest against Crook County (Prineville, OR)
The Pirates now have a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Cascade Christian for a non-league contest on Thursday, September 14. Marshfield will face a Challengers team coming off a 4-0 league win over Rogue River (Rogue River, OR). The Challengers record now stands at 1-0.
