The Golden Valley Cougars flag football squad scored 18 points and limited the visiting Mendota Aztecs to 6 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Cougars now sport a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they host Hughson for a non-league test on Friday, September 13. Golden Valley will meet a Huskies squad coming off a 28-0 non-league win over Madera South (Madera, CA). The Huskies record now stands at 3-3.

With the defeat, Mendota drops to 3-3 on the campaign. The Aztecs travel to Mariposa County (Mariposa, CA) to meet the Grizzlies in a non-league test on Friday, September 13.
