The Statesmen now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Justice for a non-league test on Thursday, September 12.
With the defeat, Mount Vernon drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Majors host Herndon (Herndon, VA) to meet the Hornets in a non-league test on Wednesday, September 11. The Hornets come into the test with a record of 0-1.
