Illinois High School Soccer - St. Anthony toppled by Hillsboro
September 11, 2024: Hillsboro, IL 62049 Hillsboro Hiltoppers (Hillsboro, IL) backers exited the stadium pleased Wednesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting St. Anthony Bulldogs (Effingham, IL), 5-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Hillsboro advances its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Hiltoppers travel to Staunton (Staunton, IL) to clash with the Bulldogs in a South Central test on Thursday, September 12. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 5-3. Staunton lost 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Lebanon (Lebanon, IL)
The Bulldogs now have a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Teresa for a non-league test on Saturday, September 14. St. Anthony will clash with a Bulldogs team coming off a 7-3 non-league loss to Cornerstone Christian (Bloomington, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-4.
