Spectators at Thursday's non-league bout between the Milpitas Trojans (Milpitas, CA) and the host Fremont Firebirds (Sunnyvale, CA), saw Milpitas's football team prevail over Fremont by a final score of 20-7.

With the win, Milpitas advances its record to 2-1 on the season. The Trojans host Los Altos (Los Altos, CA) to confront the Eagles in a non-league contest on Friday, September 19. The Eagles enter the contest with a record of 0-3. Los Altos lost 61-6 in their recent non-league contest against Bellarmine College Prep (San Jose, CA)

Coming up next, the Firebirds encounter the Half Moon Bay Cougars (Half Moon Bay, CA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 19. Fremont will attempt to advance on its 0-3 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 37-27 non-league loss to Sacred Heart Prep (Atherton, CA).
