Texas High School Football - Western Hills can't hold off Hillcrest

September 11, 2025: Dallas, TX 75230

Hillcrest Panthers (Dallas, TX) fans exited the stadium in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team tip the visiting Western Hills Cougars (Fort Worth, TX), 28-21 in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Panthers play the Samuell Spartans (Dallas, TX) in a 5A-2 Region II District 5 challenge, on Friday, September 19. Hillcrest will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Spartans come into the test with a 3-0 record after their 38-0 non-league win over Kemp (Kemp, TX).

With the defeat, Western Hills drops to 1-1 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Community (Nevada, TX) to meet the Braves in a non-league test on Friday, September 19. The Braves come into the test with a record of 0-3. Community lost 62-26 in their recent non-league test against Sanger (Sanger, TX)
