In Thursday's league match, the visiting John Bapst Memorial Crusaders football squad scored a decisive 54-14 triumph over the Maine Central Institute Huskies.

The Crusaders (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Mattanawcook (Lincoln, ME). The Lynx come into the D North match with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Mattanawcook routed Maranacook (Readfield, ME), 16-6, in a league match.

Next up, the Huskies play the Madison Bulldogs (Madison, ME) in a non-league battle, on Friday, September 19. Maine Central Institute will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Bulldogs go into the battle with a 1-1 record after their 15-12 league win over Lisbon (Lisbon Falls, ME).
