Georgia High School Football - Manchester thwarted by Spencer
September 11, 2025: Columbus, GA 31903 Spencer Greenwave (Columbus, GA) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Manchester Blue Devils (Manchester, GA), 29-7 in a non-league test.
The Greenwave now hold a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Jordan for a AA Region 1 test on Friday, September 19. Spencer will meet a Red Jackets squad coming off a 49-6 league loss to Columbus (Columbus, GA). The Red Jackets record now stands at 0-4.
With the defeat, Manchester drops to 1-3 on the campaign. The Blue devils host Chapel Hill (Douglasville, GA) to meet the Panthers in a non-league test on Friday, September 19. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 1-3. Chapel Hill lost 47-0 in their recent non-league test against Central Gwinnett (Lawrenceville, GA)
