California High School Flag Football - Ripon nudges Chavez

In Thursday's non-league match, the host Ripon Indians flag football squad scored a tight 6-0 win over the Chavez Titans.

With the win, Ripon improves its record to 8-5 on the season. The Indians host El Capitan (Merced, CA) to play the Gauchos in a non-league battle on Monday, September 15. The Gauchos go into the battle with a record of 10-1. El Capitan won 47-0 in their recent non-league battle against Mendota (Mendota, CA)

The Titans now have a 2-10 record. They take the field next when they host McNair for a San-Joaquin Athletic Association match on Monday, September 15. Chavez will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 38-6 non-league win over River Islands (Lathrop, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 6-3.
