South Carolina High School Football - Newberry can't hold off Chapin
September 11, 2025: Chapin, SC 29036 Chapin Eagles (Chapin, SC) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team tip the visiting Newberry Bulldogs (Newberry, SC), 32-26 in a non-league match.
The Eagles (1-2) will now prepare for their match against Summerville (Summerville, SC). The Green Wave come into the non-league match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Summerville tipped Berkeley (Moncks Corner, SC), 63-3, in a non-league match.
Coming up next, the Bulldogs play the Fairfield Central Griffins (Winnsboro, SC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 18. Newberry will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Griffins go into the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 47-6 non-league win over Lower Richland (Hopkins, SC).
