Georgia High School Football - Statesboro can't hold off South Effingham
September 11, 2025: Guyton, GA 31312 South Effingham Mustangs (Guyton, GA) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team tip the visiting Statesboro Blue Devils (Statesboro, GA), 20-14 in a non-league battle.
With the win, South Effingham improves its record to 1-1 on the season. The Mustangs host Bryan County (Pembroke, GA) to play the Redskins in a non-league battle on Thursday, September 18. The Redskins go into the battle with a record of 0-0.
The Blue Devils now have a 0-3 record. They play next when they host Richmond Hill for a non-league battle on Thursday, September 25.
