North Carolina High School Football - South Wake holds off Wayne Christian
September 11, 2025: Goldsboro, NC 27530 The South Wake Lions football squad scored 34 points and limited the host Wayne Christian Eagles to 32 in the Lions non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Lions now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to American Leadership Academy-Johnston for a non-league game on Thursday, September 25. South Wake will battle a Patriots team coming off a 48-0 non-league loss to Wake Prep Academy (Wake Forest, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 1-2.
The Eagles (1-2) will now prepare for their game against North Raleigh Christian Academy (Raleigh, NC). The Knights enter the non-league game with a 3-0 record. In their last game, North Raleigh Christian Academy held off Ravenscroft (Raleigh, NC), 13-0, in a league game.
