North Carolina High School Soccer - Christ Covenant nudges Pungo Christian Academy
September 11, 2025: Winterville, NC 28590 The Christ Covenant Spartans soccer squad scored 2 points and held the visiting Pungo Christian Academy Raiders to 1 in the Spartans non-league victory on Thursday.
The Spartans now hold a 6-4 record. They play next when they host Gramercy Christian for a bout on Friday, September 12. Christ Covenant will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 4-1 league win over New Bern Christian Academy (New Bern, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 5-1.
The Raiders (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against The Oakwood School (Greenville, NC). The Eagles enter the NCISAA Tarheel contest with a 11-1 record. In their last contest, The Oakwood School held off Mattamuskeet (Swan Quarter, NC), 7-0, in a non-league contest.
