September 11, 2025: East Flat Rock, NC 28726 Fans at Thursday's non-league match between the East Henderson Eagles (East Flat Rock, NC) and the visiting Crest Chargers (Shelby, NC), witnessed East Henderson's soccer team knock off Crest by a final score of 2-0.
With the triumph, East Henderson moves its record to 4-6 on the campaign. The Eagles host Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC) to meet the Mustangs in a Mountain Eight 4A/5A match on Monday, September 15. The Mustangs come into the match with a record of 4-3. Smoky Mountain lost 2-0 in their recent league match against Pisgah (Canton, NC)
The Chargers now sport a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Caldwell for a non-league match on Monday, September 15. Crest will meet a Spartans team coming off a 1-0 non-league loss to Hibriten (Lenoir, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 0-5.
