Maryland High School Soccer - Seneca Valley nudged by Kennedy
September 11, 2025: Silver Spring, MD 20902 Kennedy Cavaliers (Silver Spring, MD) boosters exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the visiting Seneca Valley Screamin' Eagles (Germantown, MD), 2-1 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Kennedy moves its record to 1-1 on the year. The Cavaliers host Northwood (Silver Spring, MD) to play the Gladiators in a non-league outing on Wednesday, September 17. The Gladiators go into the outing with a record of 1-0. Northwood won 3-2 in their recent non-league test against Paint Branch (Burtonsville, MD)
The Screamin' Eagles now have a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Northwest for a Class 4A West I test on Monday, September 15. Seneca Valley will clash with a Jaguars team coming off a 4-3 non-league win over Bethesda-Chevy Chase (Bethesda, MD). The Jaguars record now stands at 1-0.
