September 11, 2025: Smyrna, DE 19977 Smyrna Eagles (Smyrna, DE) backers exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer squad knock off the visiting Polytech Panthers (Woodside, DE), 2-0 in a league bout.
The Eagles now possess a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Dover for a Henlopen North bout on Tuesday, September 16. Smyrna will play a Senators squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Sussex Central (Georgetown, DE). The Senators record now stands at 1-2.
The Panthers (1-3) will now prepare for their game against Milford (Milford, DE). The Buccaneers come into the Henlopen North game with a 0-4 record. In their last game, Milford by Caesar Rodney (Camden, DE), 5-0, in a league game.
