The Leland Comets edged the visiting Brethren Bobcats volleyball squad by a final score of 3-2 in Thursday's league game.

Next up, the Comets confront the Manistee Mariners (Manistee, MI) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, September 13. Leland will attempt to better on its 1-7 season record. The Mariners come into the outing with a 4-2 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Traverse City Christian (Traverse City, MI).

With the loss, Brethren drops to 3-6 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Benzie Central (Benzonia, MI) to play the Huskies in a Northwest game on Tuesday, September 16. The Huskies enter the game with a record of 1-16. Benzie Central lost 2-0 in their recent non-league game against Pine River Area (Leroy, MI)
