Pennsylvania High School Volleyball - Tunkhannock overwhelmed by Hazleton Area
September 11, 2025: Hazleton, PA 18202 The Hazleton Area Cougars topped the visiting Tunkhannock Tigers volleyball squad by a final score of 3-0 in Thursday's league outing.
The Cougars now possess a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Marian Catholic for a non-league outing on Monday, September 15. Hazleton Area will play a team coming off a 3-0 league win over Minersville (Minersville, PA). The record now stands at 5-2.
With the loss, Tunkhannock drops to 5-1 on the campaign. The Tigers host Wyoming Valley West (Plymouth, PA) to confront the Spartans in a Wyoming Valley game on Monday, September 15. The Spartans go into the game with a record of 2-0.
