Union Grove Wolverines (McDonough, GA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Northgate Vikings (Newnan, GA), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Wolverines (21-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Jones County (Gray, GA). The Greyhounds enter the 4A Area 2 challenge with a 9-12 record.

Next, the Vikings meet the Brookstone Cougars (Columbus, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 13. Northgate will attempt to improve on its 11-13 season record. The Cougars go into the test with a 17-5 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Columbus (Columbus, GA).
