New York High School Football - Central Valley Academy thwarted by Westhill
September 12, 2024: Syracuse, NY 13219 Westhill Warriors (Syracuse, NY) followers went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Central Valley Academy Thunder (Ilion, NY), 40-13 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Westhill advances its record to 1-1 on the season. The Warriors travel to Vernon-Verona-Sherrill (Verona, NY) to play the Red Devils in a non-league battle on Friday, September 20. The Red Devils go into the battle with a record of 2-0. Vernon-Verona-Sherrill won 50-12 in their recent non-league battle against Mexico (Mexico, NY)
The Thunder now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they host South Jefferson for a non-league battle on Friday, September 20. Central Valley Academy will play a Spartans team coming off a 21-14 non-league win over Cazenovia (Cazenovia, NY). The Spartans record now stands at 2-0.
