Maryland High School Football - Paint Branch nudges Sherwood

September 12, 2024: Burtonsville, MD 20866

In Thursday's non-league match, the host Paint Branch Panthers football squad scored a close 21-20 triumph over the Sherwood Warriors.

The Panthers (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Springbrook (Silver Spring, MD). The Blue Devils come into the non-league match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Springbrook tipped Einstein (Kensington, MD), 21-13, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Warriors confront the Magruder Colonels (Rockville, MD) in a Montgomery County 3A match, on Thursday, September 19. Sherwood will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Colonels come into the match with a 1-1 record after their 40-6 non-league win over Watkins Mill (Gaithersburg, MD).
