September 12, 2024: Las Cruces, NM 88011 The Centennial Hawks football squad scored 34 points and limited the visiting Franklin Cougars to 14 in the Hawks non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Hawks now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Gadsden for a non-league test on Saturday, September 21. Centennial will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 6-0 non-league win over Mayfield (Las Cruces, NM). The Panthers record now stands at 1-0.
With the defeat, Franklin drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Cougars host Americas (El Paso, TX) to clash with the Trail Blazers in a non-league test on Wednesday, September 18. The Trail Blazers come into the test with a record of 2-1. Americas lost 27-0 in their recent non-league test against Pebble Hills (El Paso, TX)
