North Carolina High School Football - Rocky Mount can't hold off Northeastern
September 12, 2024: Elizabeth City, NC 27909 Northeastern Eagles (Elizabeth City, NC) followers went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team tip the visiting Rocky Mount Gryphons (Rocky Mount, NC), 18-14 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Northeastern advances its record to 2-1 on the season. The Eagles host First Flight (Kill Devil Hills, NC) to play the Nighthawks in a non-league battle on Thursday, September 19. The Nighthawks go into the battle with a record of 0-1. First Flight lost 24-0 in their recent non-league battle against Manteo (Manteo, NC)
The Gryphons now own a 0-4 record. They play next when they travel to Nash Central for a non-league battle on Thursday, October 3.
