Our team rode strong serving performances by Samantha McDonald, Ryleigh Goolsby and Miley Zeiss to a strong victory in Set 1. In Set 2, some of our younger players got a chance to sub in and play out the set on the court. In the end, they were unable to hold up against their opponents, who's captain went on a 10 point serving tear mid-set to get the set under control. Our young group nearly made a comeback behind Madison Edgett's serving late in the set, but weren't quite able to pull it off. The starting rotation came back strong in Set 3, to nail down the victory for our scrappy group, led by a 7 point mid-set run by Laura Ave. As a team, we had great ball handling tonight, with serve receiving over 75% and other passing and hitting of over 80%, and we also scored a withering 17 aces.
