North Carolina High School Soccer - East Davidson toppled by Southwestern Randolph
September 12, 2024: Thomasville, NC 27360 Southwestern Randolph Cougars (Asheboro, NC) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host East Davidson Golden Eagles (Thomasville, NC), 8-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Southwestern Randolph moves its record to 8-0 on the campaign. The Cougars host Providence Grove (Franklinville, NC) to clash with the Patriots in a Piedmont Athletic 1A/2A test on Monday, September 16. The Patriots come into the test with a record of 6-3. Providence Grove won 10-1 in their recent non-league challenge against North Stanly (New London, NC)
With the loss, East Davidson moves to 2-7 on the year. The Golden eagles travel to North Rowan (Spencer, NC) to encounter the Cavaliers in a Central Carolina 1A/2A challenge on Wednesday, September 18. The Cavaliers go into the challenge with a record of 2-1.
