Alexandria Cardinals (Alexandria, MN) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Sartell-St. Stephen Sabres (Sartell, MN), 42-14 in a league battle.

With the win, Alexandria improves its record to 2-1 on the season. The Cardinals host Elk River (Elk River, MN) to play the Elks in a non-league battle on Friday, September 19. The Elks go into the battle with a record of 3-0. Elk River won 50-14 in their recent league test against St. Francis (St. Francis, MN)

With the defeat, Sartell-St. Stephen drops to 1-2 on the campaign. The Sabres travel to Brainerd (Brainerd, MN) to meet the Warriors in a Northstar - North test on Friday, September 19. The Warriors come into the test with a record of 3-0. Brainerd won 49-14 in their recent non-league test against Sauk Rapids-Rice (Sauk Rapids, MN)
