The Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls football squad scored 14 points and limited the host Tarkington Longhorns to 13 in the Fighting Owls non-league triumph on Friday.

The Fighting Owls now hold a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Shepherd for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 19. Anderson-Shiro will play a Pirates team coming off a 44-0 non-league win over Buffalo (Buffalo, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 3-0.

The Longhorns (0-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Hardin (Hardin, TX). The Hornets go into the non-league challenge with a 3-0 record. In their last challenge, Hardin nipped Deweyville (Deweyville, TX), 34-0, in a non-league challenge.
