In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Lutheran North Mustangs football squad scored a decisive 50-7 victory over the Avondale Yellowjackets.

The Mustangs (3-0) will now prepare for their match against Loyola (Detroit, MI). The Bull Dogs enter the Catholic - Intersectional 1 match with a 0-3 record. In their last match, Loyola was routed by Detroit Country Day (Beverly Hills, MI), 55-8, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Yellowjackets confront the Pontiac Phoenix (Pontiac, MI) in a Oakland - Gold match, on Saturday, September 20. Avondale will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Phoenix enter the match with a 1-2 record after their 43-0 league loss to Berkley (Berkley, MI).
