The Benedictine Bengals felled the host Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions football team by a score of 28-14 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Bengals face the Lake Catholic Cougars (Mentor, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 19. Benedictine will attempt to improve on its 4-0 season record. The Cougars go into the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 31-14 non-league win over Gilmour Academy (Gates Mills, OH).

The Lions (3-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Bedford (Bedford, OH). The Bearcats go into the non-league challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, Bedford toppled Brush (Lyndhurst, OH), 14-13, in a non-league challenge.
