In Friday's non-league match, the host Bishop McLaughlin Catholic Hurricanes football squad scored a good 50-22 triumph over the Discovery Spartans.

The Hurricanes (2-3) will now prepare for their match against Windermere Prep (Windermere, FL). The Lakers come into the non-league match with a 3-0 record. In their last match, Windermere Prep defeated Faith Christian (Orlando, FL), 22-8, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Spartans meet the McLaughlin Phoenix (Lake Wales, FL) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 19. Discovery will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record. The Phoenix go into the challenge with a 0-4 record after their 47-0 non-league loss to Yulee (Yulee, FL).
