Eastside Eagles (Taylors, SC) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers (Greer, SC), 56-21 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Eastside advances its record to 3-0 on the season. The Eagles host Spartanburg (Spartanburg, SC) to encounter the Vikings in a AAAAA Region 2 battle on Friday, September 19. The Vikings go into the battle with a record of 1-2. Spartanburg won 50-7 in their recent non-league match against Broome (Spartanburg, SC)

Coming up next, the Fighting Tigers confront the Pickens Blue Flame (Pickens, SC) in a AAAA Region 2 match, on Friday, September 19. Blue Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Blue Flame enter the match with a 1-3 record after their 49-41 non-league loss to St. Joseph's Catholic (Greenville, SC).
