September 12, 2025: New Orleans, LA 70126 Carver Collegiate Academy Rams (New Orleans, LA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting L.W. Higgins Hurricanes (Marrero, LA), 53-14 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Carver Collegiate Academy improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Rams travel to Mandeville (Mandeville, LA) to play the Skippers in a non-league battle on Friday, September 19. The Skippers go into the battle with a record of 1-1. Mandeville lost 30-21 in their recent non-league battle against Madison Prep Academy (Baton Rouge, LA)
The Hurricanes now have a 0-3 record. They play next when they host Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy for a non-league battle on Saturday, September 20. L.W. Higgins will play a Swamp Owls team coming off a 49-34 non-league win over Jefferson RISE Charter (Harvey, LA). The Swamp Owls record now stands at 2-0.
