The Cass Colonels got by the host Hiram Hornets football squad by a count of 28-21 in Friday's league test.

The Colonels now hold a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Cedartown for a AAAA Region 7 test on Friday, September 19. Cass will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 20-7 league loss to Allatoona (Acworth, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-3.

With the defeat, Hiram drops to 1-4 on the campaign. The Hornets host Dalton (Dalton, GA) to face the Catamounts in a AAAA Region 7 challenge on Friday, September 26. The Catamounts go into the challenge with a record of 0-5.
