South Carolina High School Football - Darlington can't hold off Cheraw

September 12, 2025: Darlington, SC 29532

Cheraw Braves (Cheraw, SC) followers went home pleased Friday as they observed their football squad nudge the host Darlington Falcons (Darlington, SC), 13-7 in a non-league match.

The Braves (3-1) will now prepare for their match against River Bluff (Lexington, SC). The Gators come into the non-league match with a 2-2 record. In their last match, River Bluff tipped Gilbert (Gilbert, SC), 14-7, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Falcons confront the Lower Richland Diamond Hornets (Hopkins, SC) in a AAAA Region 5 match, on Friday, September 19. Darlington will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Diamond Hornets come into the match with a 3-1 record after their 28-6 non-league win over Batesburg-Leesville (Batesburg, SC).
